These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ocular Edge ("Service"), operated by Ocular Edge Pty Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
01The Service
Ocular Edge is a cloud-based platform for optometry and ophthalmology practices that provides digital eye chart software, AI-assisted billing code suggestions, AI slide deck generation, social content generation, and waiting room display tools. The Service is intended for use by licensed eye care professionals and their staff.
02Account Registration
You must create an account to access the Service. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with unauthorised parties.
- Notify us immediately at info@ocularedge.net if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind your practice or organisation to these Terms.
03Free Trial
New accounts receive a 3-day free trial with access to all features, including 3 exam lane seats, AI Billing & Coding, Slide Deck Generator, and Social Content Generator. Trial usage limits apply:
- 2 AI slide deck generations during the trial period.
- 3 Billing & Coding Companion queries during the trial period.
- 3 Social Content generations during the trial period.
- Exam lane and waiting room features are unlimited during the trial.
No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, your account will be restricted to free tier features unless you subscribe to a paid plan. Trial benefits are available once per clinic and are not transferable.
04Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. All fees are stated in USD and are exclusive of applicable taxes.
- Per Lane Plan — $24.99/lane/month. Each lane seat is billed individually.
- Add-ons Bundle — $50/month, account-wide. Includes Slide Decks, Social Content, and Waiting Room features.
- Billing & Coding Companion — $80/month, account-wide.
- Enterprise Plan — $225/month flat rate. Includes up to 20 lanes and all add-ons.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial months or unused subscription periods.
05Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
- Enter individually identifiable patient information (names, dates of birth, MRNs, or other PHI) into any AI feature.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
- Use the Service to generate content that is misleading, defamatory, or harmful.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties without our written consent.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or abuse the Service or its APIs.
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass any usage limits or security measures.
06AI Features and Clinical Disclaimer
The Billing & Coding Companion uses AI to suggest ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT procedure codes, and billing modifiers based on clinical descriptions you provide. These suggestions are for reference and administrative assistance only.
AI-generated code suggestions are not a substitute for review by a licensed medical biller or certified professional coder (CPC). Ocular Edge does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or compliance of any code suggestions. You are solely responsible for verifying all codes against current ICD-10-CM and CPT codebooks before submitting claims. Incorrect billing can result in claim denial, audits, or legal liability.
Similarly, AI-generated slide decks and social content are provided as a starting point and should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before use.
07Intellectual Property
The Ocular Edge platform, including its software, design, visual elements, and clinical math engine, is owned by Ocular Edge Pty Ltd and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of the content you create using the Service (slide decks, branding configurations, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to host and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.
08Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
09Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ocular Edge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or billing errors arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated code suggestions.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months immediately preceding the claim.
10Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or fail to pay amounts owed. You may delete your account at any time from the account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
12Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent notice in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
